Music Therapy with Sensory Impaired Populations

At Muse for Life in Sandy Springs Atlanta, we offer private & group music therapy sessions for individuals with sensory impairment. Sensory impaired individuals are challenged by hearing loss and vision loss. Hearing impaired individuals may write songs or pair sign language with music in order to introduce and practice new vocabulary words. Throughout the composition process, clients are also ecouraged to express ideas in language. Visually impaired individuals benefit largely through sound localization and tracking. The specific goals of music therapy for hearing impaired and vision impaired populations at Muse for Life are explained in more detail on the pages linked within the menu bar above.
